Welcome to Graymin's Glyphs!
Hi there, I'm Graymin. You may also know me as Shaymin Sylph or Sylph of Eons. I'm most well known as a fanartist in the Kirby, Kingdom Hearts, and Pokemon fandoms on twitter and tumblr.
Graymin's Glyphs is my website I'm building to showcase my creative projects and to talk about things I like such as video games. This website is meant to be a fun and relaxing place that is welcome to those who are already familiar with my work and newcomers alike.
It's been a long time since a new page has been added to the site right? Well that's just changed now cause I've added the Fanworks Share page! Basically It's just a page mostly for sharing video game resources such as save file editors, video guides or even just some YouTube channels that cover some interesting obscure topic that I find fascinating. For my FFXIV readers specifically, I have a lot of useful video guide recommendations there that have really helped me get back into the game that I think a lot of people might find very useful!
Oh also my Birthday is next month, March 18th! Maybe I'll design like a special birthday header for that or something idk. Anyways, hope you all have a good time until then!
January is always a weird month right? Something about it being the first month in the year makes each day in it feel more...significant than it really is if that makes sense.
Added a new section to the Art Gallery for my Kingdom Hearts fanart as well as added some more art to other sections of the gallery. Check it out!
Added a new section to the Creative portal page for sharing decorative assets like custom stamps (for example: The custom Deltarune stamps you now see on the home page sidebar!). These custom graphics will be free to use and share on your own site, but i'd really appreciate it if you'd credit/link back to me if you do use them!
Another new page has been added! The Video Game Mysteries page is where I'll talk about video game theory crafting and stuff. Hope you all enjoy!
Welcome to 2024! A new page has been added for the occasion: The 2024 Media Diary! Essentially, it's just for keeping track of any media I watch/read/play/listen to this year. Anyways, I hope you enjoy your New Years!
Two new things! 1: The Site Map has been restyled and also I've fixed some broken links there left from the last rehaul. Hopefully now it's working correctly and you can get around the site as easily as I intended. 2: The page for my FFXIV misadventures should now be live. I'm still working on it but now it's there to look at if you're curious! Anyways, hope you have a good one!
The Art Gallery page is finally live! I'm still working on adding new sections and also finding a better layout but it's finally up and live and to be honest thats all that matters to me right now. Yipee!
New page added in the Creative section for my weird Pokemon gijinka au thing. It's really just a way for me to test out how I want to do galleries but it's here if you're curious. Outside from website stuff, i've started a new retail job and I'm also probably going to be volunteering for ETSU-Con again heading into next year. But yeah, I'm looking forward to getting some more gallery pages up. I should probably also get back to FFXIV soon too. I really want to show off my Warrior of Light here in some way.
Alright, it's been a few days, but I finished another code rehaul. there's probably not been a big change visually but under the hood everything should look a lot cleaner for me which will be helpful the next time i try to add a new page. Also the website has a Landing Page now! Check it out!
The Network Page is now live! Check out some of the other neocities I like!
Added a new feature to the homepage, the Daily (not strictly though) Sketchpage! Pretty self explainatory, it's just a screenshot from one of the many sketchbooks I have lying around that I want to show off somehow and this seems like a great way to do it. Anyways, hope you all enjoy!
Added a guestbook and updated various other graphics across the site! Still debating what will be the next new original page I add to the site.
So. You've probably noticed that things look different around here. Like any major updates to a website like this, please leave a comment on my neocities profile if you notice a broken link somewhere and I'll get to work on trying to resolve it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the big update!
I've now added a Site Map page to website, and its currently linked on the Index/Home page until I rehaul the navigation. The Keyblades page has also received a big update and now contains most of my past designs for public viewing. Again, the navigation rehaul is the biggest priority right now and I don't really have any immediate additions to be made to the site other than working on that and the styling a bit more. After I clean up the the look on the site a bit more, I *should* be ready to work on an Affiliates page and a Guestbook page but we'll see how things shake out. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!
Another big addition to the site was just added: The Resources page! Includes a lot of websites I find handy mostly for art purposes but I think it's definitely worth a look. You might also notice a lot more Kirby around here. Just a result of me making the site a bit more "fun". As exciting as this is though, the addition of the Resources page has sort of expedited the urgency of changing the header navigation to a dropdown menu, so thats probably going to be the next big project for the site and I expect it to be a lot more time consuming than the first navigation bar. Oh well, hope you enjoy the Resources page!
Two big additions to the site and several smaller ones. 1st: The site now has a proper navigation bar! This probably won't be the final version of it but it's here and is available on every page. 2nd: My Keyblade design page is now live! I still need to format some more pictures to be added to it but the page is live and public now. Some other minor changes include me organizing the images folder and just cleaning up some code here and there. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy jumping around the site now. I'll start working to add a site progress section to the index page soon and potentially start working on resource page that just links to some other websites i like/find helpful. Hope you enjoy!
The SisterSent Characters page is officially done! I'm so so SO happy with how it looks and more importantly, I can knock it off the to-do list and start working on some smaller pages. Right now the commissions page is the highest priority but I'll see if theres any other self-indulgent pages i want to do before. The keyblade design page is high up on the list and I'm thinking that once thats done, I'll get put together a navigation bar for the site, even if it's just a temporary design. Anyways, hope you have a good one!
The site is offically live at sylphofeons.neocities.org! Unfortunately, there seems to be a bug with the style sheet relating to the sistersent and kirby character pages that is supposed to turn the captions into scrollable text boxes and for some reason has really messed up the positioning of the sistersent character portraits even though everything looks great when I run it on VSC Live Server. I hope that its just neocities being slow and that it will start working properly in a day or two.
Finished the Kirby Fan Character Page. Still waiting for neocities to actually login to my new domain. If you don't know, as of now I'm just running all this through the Live Server extension in Visual Studio Code. I don't know why neocities is being slow, everything on the server status page says there should be no downtime. Oh well.
Hi! If you're reading this, then this is the first update on the site! Just to treat this as a diary for a sec, I'm really impressed by how much I actually got done in one day. Other than that, I don't think I have much to say other than I'm going to work on adding some more pages as seen in the to-do list and after that I'll get a proper header working for the site. After that, I'll probably work on replacing the to-do list with a progress section that will track what I'm working on for the site in a more visually appealing way. So until then, I hope you have a good one!
The Real World
Another Global Strike has been called in support of Palestine and a ceasefire in Gaza, effective as of Today.
Now is the time to organize worker's strikes, limit your consumer spending, flood social media with posts calling for ceasefire and to end Israeli occupation, and be visible in the real world by showing support for Palestine in organized protests and demonstrations.
This post gives out some more advice on how to spend this week and show solidarity to the strike.
And this post provides links for how to buy eSIMS for Gaza and donate to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
Beyond this week, we should all still continue to make use of these resources and push to bring a swift end to Israel's bombardment and oppression of the Palestinian people.
I do also have a second matter to talk about today. The US Senate is currently trying to pass the Kid's Online Safety Act, also known as KOSA, to greatly limit privacy and increase surveillance on the internet by requiring users to submit their ID and Social Security information in order to sign up on social media sites among other things.
This site provides a default message opposing this bill and several others like it to send to your Representatives.
This year is shaping up to be a very pivotal moment for politics involving the U.S. and it's various international projects (most of them involving some form of exploitation if not military conquest) so it's up to us to be diligent and mindful of what we allow this government to get away with.
As always, thank you for your time.
